The elastomer system in our Anti-Embolism Stockings is designed to increase blood velocity, reducing the incidence of venous stasis, deep vein thrombosis, and pulmonary embolisms. The stockings accomplish this by providing graduated compression with the most compression at the ankle and gradually diminishing pressure up the leg. These stockings are very similar to TEDs (T.E.D.® is a licensed trademark of TYCO International (US) Inc.) and make a great replacement at a very economical price.  The stocking is designed so the inspection toe will be on the top of the foot thus allowing easier inspection and more comfort. All HosieryCenter products are made in the United States and are Latex Free.

Instructions:  How to measure -- Using a tape measure, measure ankle at narrowest 

point, calf at widest point, and thigh at top of thigh.  Measure length from bottom of

heel to top of thigh (where buttocks meet top of thigh).
